Universal Fire And Security Ltd secured a landmark contract when they took on the fire and security provision at Plymouth Community Homes’ new headquarters at Plumer House in Crownhill, Plymouth. The former Land Registry building had laid dormant for over two years and on the very day the new owners took possession Universal Fire And Security Ltd moved in to secure the site and make sure that their investment was protected against the threat of fire, intrusion and vandalism. Over the year that has passed since that first day work has been undertaken to ensure that the site was secure and that Plymouth Community Homes staff are able to access their building but keep segregated from works that have needed to take place to allow occupation. The works that Universal Fire And Security Ltd have lead include Vehicular Barrier replacement, access control installation, CCTV upgrade, disabled refuge installation, fire alarm modifications, fire stopping of compartments, intruder alarm modifications, mobile patrols, key-holding , alarm response and guarding, fire alarm risk assessments and fire door installation. This project has allowed us to showcase all of our skills on one site and has allowed us to be relied upon to provide a full fire and security service to our client so they can concentrate on the job at hand to provide Plymouth with an excellent new facility for the staff and tenants of Plymouth Community Homes.
