Please meet one of our team, Johnathan Morgan. Jon joined Universal Fire and Security Ltd in February 2015. He was 20 years old. He was initially employed as an apprentice. He was integrated into the installation team to learn all facets of the provision of fire and security systems to a variety of commercial, industrial and domestic premises. 

 Achievements and Qualifications

  • 2015    BS5839 Part 1  2013 – Unit 1 Fire Detection Design
  • 2015    BS5839 Part 4  2013 – Unit 4 Fire Detection System Installation and Testing
  • 2015    TETRA Access Systems Levels 1 & 2
  • 2015    CSCS Operative


During his apprenticeship Jon received both worked based training and college training. He was assigned a mentor within the engineering team to assist in his growth.

Jon is now a fully qualified engineer working as an Install Engineer for the company. He is a multi-disciplined engineer covering all types of installations. He covers installations through all parts of Plymouth and Cornwall. Since working for Universal Jon has passed his driving test and he now has his own van.

Personal Hobbies

During Jon’s free time he is a keen rugby player. He plays for Ivybridge RFC. He takes part in matches that his colleagues have attended and had a great time watching.
