The dawn of any new year always heralds a new challenge. In business that is always very true. We come back to business in January 2014 with a fresh impetus and a goal to succeed in creating a customer focused successful business leading the South West within the Fire And Security Industry.
2013 brought success for individuals and the company alike. All members of engineering staff have now successfully completed courses run by the Fire Industry Association to gain BAFE (British Approvals for Fire Equipment) qualifications for either Fire Alarm Design and Installation and/or Service or Fire Extinguisher Service and Maintenance which includes Scheme Design. Universal Fire And Security also hold BAFE Accreditation for both Fire Alarms and Fire Extinguishers.
Last year also saw the company successfully complete its ISO 9001:2008 Quality Assurance Qualification. During the year inspections carried out by our governing body, SSAIB (Security Systems and Alarms Inspectorate Board) were also extremely positive as we were awarded a Certificate of Excellence. These inspections cover Fire Alarms, CCTV, Access Control and Intruder Alarms. The certification puts the company in the top 3% of the Country in its field of expertise.
We would also like to take this opportunity to welcome two new members of the team. Lewis Taylor has joined as an engineer, whilst Sharon Keslake has come into the company to fulfill the role of Service Co-ordinator.
